John Mae Properties is partially named after John Henry Smith who is owner Richard Smith's paternal grandfather. John Henry was a family man that believed in hard work, financial responsibility, fatherhood, loving the Lord, and living a life of moral and ethical excellence. John passed these principles down to his children and his grandchildren. It is this legacy that Richard honors through the namesake and purpose of the business.
